Winter's Summer
its around so much,
i see you - sunshine, you're there
but why does the frost bite at my cheeks?
why does the wind crawl up my bones?
why do i need five layers of cloth for warmth?
where is the summer you so beautifully present?
you'll follow with the cold
it never left
but the summer illusion captures me
breathes me in, invites me out
and when i go, it fights me
every step, every breath, every blink of the way
Winter's summer breeze heals the deepest feels
but in the way like a broken heart heals
it has to be hurt first, cracked open
and then it can welcome the warmth inside,
when there was no door
or bell to ring,
the cold freezes and blows the wall
open, combust...
and the sun shines in
